RNC berates donors
I've assisted a lot of candidates with fundraising in the past. One thing I've never attempted with any seriousness was guilt. I've not insulted or berated our prospects for fear that would be DE-motivating.
Apparently the RNC thinks differently.
So the RNC accuses us of abandoning and deserting the party because we haven't sent them an annual contribution?
We're real motivated now.

I admit that when I opened and read this letter, I was a bit insulted...and completely uninspired. I can't believe people actually respond to this type of encouragement.

What can I say? It caught my attention!
That is a really crappy letter though.
Just out of curiousity, why haven't you donated? McCain? Not enough cash on hand? Bush burnout?

I can't speak for Kristen, but I prefer giving directly to candidates because I know where they stand. As for McCain, we haven't contributed. I was a Fred Thompson guy in the Primary and we contributed to him. I'm sure we'll give something to McCain before its over but most of our contributions go to local candidates like Jon Elrod, Woody Burton, and the local GOP.

This is my first visit to, or awarness of, this site...prompted by my reading about the RNC letter on Bilerico.com. Now I understand a bit of the "bleedover" to VR, and one thing is sure: I can't yell at this one at all concerning the 501(c)(3) issue, can I? (:
Here I go agreeing with you again. What a dumb bit of human relations by the RNC!
