The left's religious bigotry roars at Sarah Palin
The left's soft religious bigotry is out in full force today as they bear their teeth at presumed Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin.
That includes Indiana blabbermouth Jen Wagner whose teeth are always sharpened when she gets the opportunity to sink them into a nearby Republican.
If you were wondering what folks in Alaska do to make those long, cold nights pass faster, perhaps you should ask 17-year-old Bristol Palin, daughter of Alaska Governor and newly minted Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
Mama Palin just confirmed to the media that her kid is five months knocked up with plans to keep the baby and marry the father.
This adds a fun twist to Sarah Palin’s ongoing romance with the religious right. Yeah, she’s a hot, pro-life “hockey mom” who hunts moose, but apparently she’s cool with sex out of wedlock. Ruh roh. It could be tough to answer honestly when she’s asked about the promotion of abstinence-only sex ed in high school, a favorite wedge issue for her conservative base.
P.S. This surprise announcement kind of makes you wonder how well Palin was vetted.
You can just hear the glee in Wagner's voice as she hopes those trailer park owner Evangelical Christians will employ their prejudices against Palin. Unfortunately for her political interests, Christians are far more sophisticated than her bigotry will allow.
That's pretty traditional for the left. Every two to four years they realize they may need to attract some votes from religious voters. As a result, Barack Obama quotes a few scripture passages in his acceptance speech and state parties hold a few seminars telling Democrats how to speak "Christian." But it's in situations like this when the Democrats true colors emerge. They have little or no respect for folks who value religion and morals and believe only the worst about us.
When this biases are bared for the American public to experience, inevitably they are rejected. I believe these attacks will backfire on the Democrats as American women, in particular, rally behind a woman whose situation they sympathize with.

For someone indirectly calling another a hyprocrit is comical...as you state in your post,
"You can just hear the glee in Wagner's voice as she hopes those trailer park owner Evangelical Christians will employ their prejudices against Palin. Unfortunately for her political interests, Christians are far more sophisticated than her bigotry will allow."
You call her a bigot as your prejudice seeps in your description..."trailer park owner evangelical christians". Did you learn this type of bigotry for those that didn't agree with you at IWU?
Secondly, since when did Christianity= Republican? Christianity does not support a particular party set off core values. Perhaps you should read from prior democratic presidents prior to Reagan...their was a time when the Republicans didn't have a foothold upon evangelical Christians..but its changing. What evidence do you have that Democrats have little or no respect for folks who value religion and morals and believe only the worst about you? Your party has done enough to show its true colors of how comitted to Christianity they are (newt gingrich, Mark Foley, Jim Kolbe, Larry Craig). Currently, you support Dan Burton and Newt Gingrich who have had affairs? Sooo...really, Republican = Christian..I don't think so. Us Democrats do care about religion and values as much as you...and fall down as much as you (but it seems in your view more). They attack being forced to believe a certain way...or any legislation based upon theocracy, however, they respect the right of that theology to exist. As you ended your post speaking of bias...you have shown yours!
